It’s been actually very long the world has come to a halt. Despite every precaution, things aren’t improving much. It all started in china on 31st December last year. All of sudden a deadly virus broke down in Wuhan, that later spread in massive countries throughout the world. The Coronavirus is now registered as covid19. Till today no effective antidote has been discovered. Most of the countries have appealed to their citizens to maintain social distancing. This is the only effective way to break the chain of the contagious virus because the virus mostly spread through human contact. As soon as people come in contact with any surface that is affected by the virus, they get contaminated. So somehow social distancing helps in preventing the contamination. But it is no doubt affecting the economy of the country in an adverse manner as well. When a lockdown is declared it means to shut down everything. Not only people but their business too. So ultimately a declining economical graph could be observed in every industry. It leads to the slow down of the Sensex and gradually a hampered business state. Let us see how
Social distancing actually means lockdown, like what happens during curfews. So when people are locked down at their houses, no question arises for small business people or venders to run their business. That actually stops the rotation of the currency in the market.
Demand and supply
Because the manufacturing units fail to supply their products in the market because of curfew, their products don’t reach to the consumers on time. This leads to loss to the manufacturers because certain food items have near expiry dates. They cannot be stored for longer.
When demand is more than supply, the rates of the products automatically increases. Here, the poor gentry is the major sufferer. They run into debts to meet their basic needs. Its an alarm for the dropping economy of a country.
Small scale business
Small Scale business almost shut down at such a crucial time. Vegetable vendors, dairy vendors, bakery item vendors, street food vendors, daily wagers, restaurants, movie theaters, sports complexes, are on the top of the list. These businesses run on a daily basis income and because of the shutdown they suffer losses.
Not only private sectors, but government sectors also faces a similar situation. The sectors run by the government like medical institutes, railways, paramedical stores, medicine outlets come under huge pressure. Providing medical facilities and maintaining law and order becomes a massive challenge. So what do we do in this time of crisis? Is it possible for the government to provide medical facilities at once to the entire population? Is it possible for them to keep people away from contamination without our cooperation? Certainly not. So as responsible citizens, it is our duty to cooperate our best at this time of epidemic spread.
- Business losses can be recovered if we are safe
- no business can run without manpower. So safety first
- Only a strong nation can form a strong economy, stand by your country at this time of crisis
- Help the poor with food and clothes.
- Provide food to stray animals.
- Stay indoors. That will keep you and your neighbors safe
- Sanitize your house and your surroundings.
- Use masks when out.
- Wash your hands often
We have heard almost every precaution a hundred times. But the challenge still stands. When we know there isn’t any medicine discovered yet, then only precautions can help us keep safe. Economy, business, social life will fall into their respective places once we are able to beat this deadly virus and get back to the normal routine. Till then, help your nation by maintaining law and calm. We will get over this provocation for sure.
